Socionics and Tarot Cards

Socionics is the study of 16 types of people and the relationships (compatibility and incompatibility) between the types. Each of the 16 types has a type-specific way of receiving and transmitting information. 16 types are also divided into 4 squares, belonging to a square is characterized by common values. There are 4 types in each square. Each type has certain characteristics. There are 4 pairs of traits in socionics: Introversion – Extraversion; Intuition – Sensory; Logic – Ethics; Rationalism – Irrationalism. There are various versions available that compare Tarot Kings, Queens, Knights and Knights with the 16 socionic types, and this is of course debatable, but I will summarize my version in this article. I have been familiar with socionics for ten years, with Tarot a little less – about 8 years.

Tarot cards also represent certain personality traits. Therefore, you can draw parallels and determine which Tarot card corresponds to a certain type of Socionics. For example, cups in the Tarot are responsible for emotions and feelings, they describe emotional people. Socionics has a pair of features – logic and ethics. Ethical types do not necessarily mean that they are ethical :))) , but rather that people of this type are governed by emotions and not reason when making decisions. On the other hand, for logical types, the mind dominates decision-making. From this we can conclude that the Arcana of Cups in the Tarot will correspond to the ethical types in Socionics. Swords in the Tarot cards are related to thinking and the mind, therefore we will “include” only logical types in Swords. The Arcana of Coins in the Tarot is associated with money and material values and is a grounded mast. Therefore, Coins will also have logical types.

I “put” Jack, Gabena, Balzac and Stirlitz into the Coins deck, because according to socionics, these types have a strong Transactional logic. The coin mast as we know is responsible for transactions, money matters, business. Jack and Stirlitz have business logic in the first channel of the psyche, and Gaben with Balzac in the 2nd.

In socionics, as I mentioned earlier, there are also extroverts and introverts. If we also look at Kings, Queens, Knights and Pawns, the extroverts would be Kings and Knights, and the Pawns and Queens would be introverts. Because the Tarot Kings are charismatic, extroverted, visible characters. On the other hand, Queens spend more time alone in their palace and are not socially active, and Paži, despite being independently present in society, remain unnoticed and unnoticed by anyone, which indicates introversion. I put Dostoyevsky, Balzac, Robespierre, and Yesenin in the category, because these types, in my opinion, are less visible than the other types in society.

Sensory in socionics describes people who live here and now, sensory types usually know how to present themselves visually better than intuitive types, sensory types also have important material values. The 8 sensory types of socionics will correspond to kings and queens (Tarot) who know how to present themselves. Intuits, on the other hand, are people gifted with intuition, they can be in their thoughts about the past or the future, spiritual values are more important than status and material condition, we will put knights and pajas next to intuits.
